Understanding Which Uniform Guidance Version To Follow

On Aug. 13, 2020, OMB released its revisions to the uniform guidance, which become effective later this year, except for two provisions that went into effect immediately. Now, recipients must determine which version of the uniform guidance they must follow -- provisions in the current guidance or provisions in the revised guidance. The transition to new guidance requirements historically has created confusion among recipients, and we anticipate these changes will also prove complex to some nonfederal entities. This video aims to clarify some of the confusion surrounding the upcoming uniform guidance effective date.
